During her law school tenure, Ms. Proa demonstrated her passion for justice by representing clients seeking Asylum, U-Visa, and Naturalization in the Randall O. Sorrels Immigration Legal Clinic. Her exceptional performance earned her a CALI Award for Excellence in Criminal Trial Advocacy, where she skillfully argued hypothetical cases in a mock federal district court scenario.

Possessing a diverse academic background, Ms. Proa holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies with minors in English, history, and phronêsis from the University of Houston. This humanities foundation equips her with practical intelligence crucial for analyzing and resolving complex moral and political issues within immigration law.

Licensed to practice state law in New Jersey and federal law nationwide, Ms. Proa is bilingual, proficient in Spanish, and deeply understands the challenges faced by immigrants, drawing from her personal background as the daughter of two Mexican immigrants.

Beyond her legal prowess, Ms. Proa is a dedicated community servant. As a former mentor for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in Houston, she continues to volunteer, offering guidance and support to those in need.
