Cynthia Milian is an Associate Attorney at the Powers Law Group. She currently represents and handles all aspects related to family-based immigration.
Cynthia’s experience includes representation of individuals at both detained and non-detained immigration courts, handling immigrant visa processes, consular processing, waivers of inadmissibility, citizenship, adjustment of status, asylum, and advocacy among the various agencies in immigration. Cynthia has also volunteered with non-profit organizations to assist unaccompanied minors and mothers separated from their children at the border.
Prior to joining the firm as an immigration and asylum attorney, Cynthia worked at various immigration firms handling both employment and family-based work. While in law school, Cynthia was a law clerk at the Powers Law Group.
While in law school, Cynthia served as the President of the Hispanic Law Students Association. She was also an editor for the International Trade Journal at her law school, and won Houstonias Top Lawyer 2020. In her spare time, she enjoys serving at her church, being with her family and niece, and going on long runs.
